Yaaay a bit of good news for the great japanese sci-fi/fantasy artist Yamashita Shunya. Later in the year, there will be released a couple of new figures designed by the man, as well as his second artbook collection entitled “Wild Flower.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Seen over at Heisei Democracy, they’ve caught wind of a listing from japanese online otaku shopping site Getchu that reveals a June 10th release for Yamashita Shunya’s follow-up artbook to his first which was titled “Sweet Dreams” and released two years ago. It’ll retail in Japan for 2900yen, which might equal roughly $35-40 after importing.

Next up, I don’t know when this was announced, but Byaku-chan from the Strikebang forums posted up a couple of scans showing two new figures. They will be co-produced by Art Storm/Lilics and Goodsmile Company and will be a series of figures based on Shunya’s designs, as indicated by the nomenclature - “Yamashita Shunya Collection Series.”

 

Yamashita Shunya Collection Series #1 - Kanaru

To be released sometime in late October for 6800yen is the 1/6 scale Kanaru, as seen on the left side of the page above. The two characters to the right are Hoshikawa Ruka and Kusuhara Kotone from F&C’s erogame Hoshiful. Can’t figure out the name of the sculptor from the page. Somethin-bara Nagahiro (or something like that) is all I can make out. Unfortunately any searches for the figure doesn’t bring up any more useful info either.

 

Yamashita Shunya Collection Series #2 - Nasuka

Also in October for the same price is the same scale, same price Nasuka here. Can’t figure out the name of the sculptor either. Yamazaki somethin. Unfortunately any searches for this figure brought up even less info than Kanaru, soooo…yea. I really like her design though I’ma be lookin forward to this one!

 

Don’t actually know the status of production with these two figures, but hopefully things are on track for their release dates.
