A new PV for 2009’s Queen’s Blade anime is floatin around. Check it out! Looks good for what most people might see as just a fanservice anime lol. Character designs by Rinshin, who’s done many a hentai series including the class La Blue Girl, Twin Angels, Words Worth, and also worked design and animation for Elfen Lied, To-Love-Ru, and Ikkitousen Dragon Destiny (info pulled from wiki..yay). Confirmed characters include the latest characters introduced into the QB universe Arein and Aldora. Joining them will be the sisters Reina, Erina, and Claudette, Tomoe, Nanael, Echidna, Melona, Listy, Nowa, Cattleya, Yuumil, Airi, Menasu and Shizuka. There may be others that weren’t shown in the trailer as well.
In other Queen’s Blade (or rather Gate) news, the latest news to come out from Comiket75 (which just started yesterday or so), is the announcement of a new character in the Queen’s Gate universe. Continuing with the line of characters from fighting games (previously Iroha and Mai from Samurai Spirits), comes the character Dizzy from the Guilty Gear series.

Oh man are they adding famous characters from different series just to boost Queen’s Gate popularity now? Dizzy is well-loved from GG for many different reasons, not the least of which is her moeness and cleavage. So are they trying to make QG the new game that encompasses famous ones from all over? :\
Hmm it’s probably just skipping my mind right now, but is there another series that takes characters from all over and shoves them all into one game? Queen’s Gate is the spin-off series to Queen’s Blade and has always been rooted in the “real world” from the beginning (by taking characters that we are familiar with already, Alice being the first and only original character and also the catalyst for the series).
I’m sure being all Queen’s series, people play Gate characters vs Blade and Blade Rebellion (even if they’re not supposed to…I have no idea. Sounds like it’d be a big continuity mess if they pay attention to the “story” at all lol). It’d be interesting if they somehow integrate Gate characters into the coming Queen’s Blade anime though lol. Mai vs. Tomoe, Iroha vs. Airi? That’d be fun to see animated with Rinshin’s character designs lol.
