[Figures] Lots of Queen’s Blade goodness

The Chara Hobby event held over the weekend had quite a few goodies to show off on display, and here is what Hobby Japan had in the way of their Queen’s Blade series. A number of new announcements, as well as new figures, and a look at already in progress ones.

First off, the info here and these pics are from one of HobbyStock’s reports. Go check them out to see more coverage of the event.

A new Queen’s Blade series has been announced (though it seems Queen’s Gate is just starting to get off the ground). It’s called Queen’s Blade Rebellion, and it’ll start in the Fall of 2008 probably introducing the two characters above. Don’t know the name of the valkyrie looking girl on the right, but the one on the left is named Annelotte. As expected, not only the game books, but figures will be produced for this new series. In fact, according to the HobbyStock report, Annelotte already had an unpainted prototype of Annelotte on display at the event, but photographs were prohibited. In addition to the books and figures, the story will also unfold for everybody to read, as they will be putting it online.

The next chapter in the Queen’s Blade saga goes something like this:
Four years after beautiful warriors caused a great upheaval across the land in the Queen’s Blade tournament, the continent was plunged into hell. To set the world back on its correct path, the Princess Knight Annelotte challenges the Queen’s overwhelming army and gathers other “sisters” in her fight to do so. Now, the curtain will be raised on the violent and beautiful battle of this next generation of beautiful warriors!

(translated directly off the info panel thing in the picture above)

Well just as I was wondering when they’d make a figure of her, it looks like they already have lol. Queen’s Gate’s newest character Shiranui Mai, of the Fatal Fury/King of Fighters series, has already been figurized by sculptor Chorosuke (from Volks). Unfortunately, she will be a Hobby Japan magazine mail order exclusive T_T. Bastards!!! *shakes fist at Volks/HobbyJapan* (even though I’m not sure if Volks has anything to do with her other than letting others borrow their sculptor’s ability)

Anyway, no squishy soft boobs, but there’s a separation seam on her arm… Wonder what that means?

Also shown were prototypes of Tomoe and Menasu who, along with Echidna, are part of the next set of Queen’s Blade trading figures coming from Happinet.

At the event was also Megahouse’s Excellent Model CORE figure of Menasu, hmm but Hobbystock doesn’t have pictures of her.

So is Mai a PVC or resin? I have no idea seriously. And yes, WTF is this limited shit.

Not interested in Queen’s Blade story unless they make an anime…no wait, they are doing that lol. Hopefully it at least is good enough to keep me interested to finish it.

Hmm I would venture a guess to say that Mai will probably be PVC. I don’t know of any other resin/coldcast Queen’s figures other than Griffon’s R-line.

I think the boobies would be enough to get me to check it out lol. The story I think is kind of similar to Ikkitousen, though I hope it turns out better than that lol.
