[Figures] Niθ x Alter x Hobby Japan collabo…!!

Ahh I love it when great people work together! Over at Hobby-Channel, they’ve got a special bit of news announcing a project that parent company Hobby Japan will be working on for their 40th anniversary celebration alongside with awesome illustrator Niθ and also excellent figure company Alter. This dream project (oh they all are, aren’t they? lol ^^) is called “Hyakka Ryoran -Samurai Girls-“ (Hyakka Ryoran / 百花繚乱 meaning an abundant blooming of flowers, or a gathering of beautiful women), and the official site just opened today. This will be a somewhat full fledged project along with Hobby Japan’s Queen’s Blade series and Cherry Girls as well. It will encompass so far I think a short novel, as well as the yummy figures that we all want.

Yagyuu Juubei

On the official site, there is a flash animation (where these pics are from) that show some of the characters that will take part in this series. The ones shown so far are Yagyuu Juubei, Sanada Yukimura, Hattori Hanzou, and Senhime.

Sanada Yukimura

So far it’s shaping up to sound like a Sengoku period version of Ikkitousen, where all the famous figures from that period (was Jubei part of that period too? I’ve got no idea…) are apparently reborn as hot sexy girls that fight each other due to some sort of fate or something (I’m guessing based on Ikkitousen lol). According to the Hobby-Channel site, a short novel will be out in March by Suzuki Akira and is described to be a “campus beauty girl battle love comedy”. Whew that’s definitely gonna get busy…and bouncy.

Hattori Hanzou

Dunno if the figures will be touching down at the same time as the novel, but if not well it shouldn’t be too long afterwards. More information is in the March issue of Hobby Japan, along with a blurb by character designer Niθ. I’d love to see sculpts by Tanaka☆Senu with the quality of Alter, since those two did an excellent job imo on all three of the Jango girls (Donne Anonime, Franco Il Nero, and Lily Salvatana), all of whom were also designed by Niθ (for the Nitroplus erogame Zoku Satsuriku no Jango). If it’s Alter though, you really can’t go wrong whoever sculpts.

Gonna be looking forward to how this pans out for sure, and wherever possible, collecting on Niθ’s art :P. Who knows, maybe an anime will make it out as well depending on how popular it is. I surely wouldn’t mind a show along the lines of Ikkitousen (my mind soaks up fanservice like a sponge lol).

I cannot believe this. More male to female conversions. They better not come up with too many that I want. -_- Already, I am interested in Senhime.

It seems Senhime is the most popular so far hehe. I admit I am also interested in her…
I suppose as a second it’d be Sanada Yukimura. Odd pairing of school mizugi and elegant robes, but them robes are a beaut to look at haha

Wow, looks interesting, especially that Hattori Hanzo… ninja maid with glass, very moe indeed. I hope this isn’t gonna be another exclusive figures.
