Another video’s been released showing gameplay of Dissidia for the upcoming PSP game. This time it’s Tidus vs. his old man Jecht, both characters from FFX. I think the Onion Knight and Cloud of Darkness vid looked more impressive, but this should still be a pretty fun game nonetheless lol.

Here’s some pretty darn cool lookin gameplay footage from Dissidia ~Final Fantasy~ which was recently shown I think. It shows the Onion Knight fighting the Cloud of Darkness, both from FF3 I believe. Looks pretty fun, and while I was watching it, I was somehow reminded of Virtual On lol. Dissidia is, as you can see, some kind of arena fighting game pitting various characters — good and bad guys — from various Final Fantasy series against each other. Dunno if there’s some kind of story that strings the game along, but hey if the gameplay is fun, I’m down with that. It’ll be coming out for the PSP…sometime… lol
Hmm…well some interesting announcements made it out from Square-Enix’s invite only fan event DKΣ3713 in Harajuku, including news on the Final Fantasy XIII universe titles and Parasite Eve.
The DKS3713 title for the event finally makes sense now lol. From 1up:
“The event is properly known as DKS3713, which means: Dissidia, Kingdom Hearts, Sigma Harmonics, Parasite Eve The 3rd Birthday, Compilation of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy XIII/Fabula Nova Crystalis.”
ahhh my friend just showed me this! Square Enix has put up a page with a countdown of sorts (?) with a ticking clock in the style of the Chrono series’ clock that’s used for the “C” in Chrono. On the left side is the Nintendo DS logo. Popped on over to IGN to see an article on it, and they wonder if it’s a remake of Chrono Trigger possibly in 3D like what SE’s been doing with the FF series lately (probably the likely thing), but they also mention that a true sequel to Chrono Trigger may also be a possibility. Don’t really know much as of yet, so what “ctds” turns out to be will probably be announced at E3!
Update: It’s good ol’ Chrono Trigger with added dual screen/touch screen functionality, and a new dungeon? Also wireless play? Hmmm wonder what that’s all about. Performing tech attacks with a friend through wireless co-op? via IGN
