Whoa whoa after a little over a year since the initial announcement, and more than half a year since the last update, Tinklebell has finally put an update (sort of) for what I think should be their latest Punyupuri title, “Tsukiakari no Raspberry ~Tsun★Dere II~” (The Moonlight’s Raspberry), the sequel to 2005’s PunyuPuri EX ~Tsun★Dere~!!
Well the heart’s gotten bigger, and it appears that there is some writing on the heart. Guess we’ll find out in a few days what it says! Countdowns are so stupidly exciting I can barely contain myself lol
Some of the text is starting to become legible, and it seems the big date to look forward to will probably be Valentine’s Day, 2/14. I didn’t notice this before either since my web browser volume is usually turned down pretty low, but there is a meek music-box sounding tune that plays as well. Starts off a bit happy, but then actually turns a bit eerie for me lol.
Saint Valentine’s Day
What..no full release? 😦 Oh well at least this means that they’re working on it haha. That’s about as good a sign that they’re alive as we can get!
I’ve been checking Tinklebell’s page at least once a day for the past year or so (no joke) to check for updates, which came very scarcely, and all that checking has finally paid off and come down to this. The update they’ve made to their site is, instead of any content updates, the replacement of the flash animation on their splash page entrance. Usually you’d be able to click on the flash animation to go to their main page, but you can’t click anywhere (that I’ve found) on the new page.
It starts out with just the pink sky and clouds in the background, with a tiny dot in the center, then gradually the dot grows to be a heart, the size of which you see above. If this is anything like their “update” right before the release of their last title, 2006’s PunyuPuri XX ~Yamiyo to Hoshi no Maid kan~ (Maid House of the Stars and the Dark Night), this could be a countdown to release! For their Yamiyo update, Tinklebell replaced its main splash page with a new moon against a dark night sky, and over the course of the week, it slowly went through its crescent, quarter, gibbous phases and eventually became a full moon, at which time the whole site was opened up again to the release of Yamiyo. If this is indeed a countdown, then this makes me very very excited, since I’m a total nutcase for the PunyuPuri series.
Shortly after Yamiyo was released, Tinklebell updated their site with news that announced via teaser banners that they were working on two new titles, “Taiyou no Orugo-ru” (Music Box of the Sun), and “Darkness.” Darkness was meant to be some kind of gothic vampire romance or something like that. A few splash pages showed up about Darkness, but no other really useful information than that. Taiyou has remained in teaser banner form until Tsukiakari showed up, and Tinklebell added product pages with another teaser image for each title.
The couple of Darkness splash pages that I don’t remember saving but am glad I did cuz I love these images!
Then, a couple more months or so after that, the site was updated to show via splash page and teaser banner that instead of Darkness, they were working on Tsukiakari no Raspberry, which was to be released in the winter of 2007 (sometime in January presumably). Their splash page was changed to show a short animation of the two main characters of Tsun★Dere, the futanari teacher Haruna, who was insecure about her body, and the female tsundere honor student who wanted to break away from expectations and came to love her, Orie. It looked like they were in a restaurant, and it showed Haruna first, smiling with some text on the side, and then it showed Orie, who had in her hands a comic book titled “Darkness.” Whether this means Darkness is still in development or not, who knows…
Since that first unveiling, winter passed, and the release announcement changed to spring 2007. Spring came and gone, and summer eventually rolled around with no updates to the Tinklebell site. Sometime during the summer though, the site was finally updated, if only with a minor progress report. It showed a teaser banner with an image similar to the first that they had for Tsukiakari, except with a short message saying “We are working hard on it.” And again months passed, the new year came around, and finally here we are, with this new splash page teaser slash (hopefully) countdown!
The PunyuPuri series of visual flash novels started in 2004, with “PunyuPuri Vol. 1.” Before that, Tinklebell created two games based on Mahjong and some kind of Card Game (title is Oshaberi Card Game). Since the start of PunyuPuri Vol. 1, Tinklebell’s art style and animation proficiency (something they call 2.5EXD, no idea what that really means…2d, with pseudo 3d animation? Cuz that’s what it looks like lol) have evolved with each release, going from PunyuPuri Vol. 2, to PunyuPuri SP, PunyuPuri High School Girl Edition, PunyuPuri EX, and finally PunyuPuri XX, where they added “full lip syncing.” Though their lip movement did move along with each syllable, it didn’t quite look as natural as I was expecting it to be. The effort must have been great though to implement that, and maybe they’ve learned a great deal about it and have improved on it to make it look natural in Tsukiakari? One can only hope I suppose. Between the releases of PunyuPuri Vol. 2 and SP, Tinklebell also released a collection of casino mini-games and called it “Tinklebell★Casino Paradise.” It was pretty much your standard fare casino games like blackjack, craps, and other games I don’t really remember, but if you won big, I think you were either rewarded or you could “buy” prize images of the two female characters in the game.
Some common themes in the PunyuPuri games include lots of futanari, lesbians (in fact, their last release was the very first that contained straight hetero action), cute large eyed girls, big breasts, rape, consensual, and sometimes tentacles.
Forgot if Tinklebell mentioned on their site before the update which suffix they will be using for this PunyuPuri title. Unfortunately, I also forgot the artist’s name, which is a shame cuz I totally dig his art style. Oh well. I just can’t wait till this thing comes out cuz it’s been a damn long time coming lol. Hopefully all will be revealed within the coming week!
