[Figures] Oh I wish I could build and paint kits…

Japanese online shop Amiami has revealed what they are planning to sell at the upcoming Wonderfest Summer 2008, which I think is coming up just next week (the same weekend as Square Enix’s invite only fan event, DKΣ3713!). They have two garage kits and some character goods featuring their mascot character, Amiko. The garage kits are the kinds that pop up every now and then that make me wish yet again that I knew how to properly build and paint kits with any degree of competency… And even if I could, they are Wonderfest exclusives anyway. T_T

 

 

[Figures] Beautiful Lineage II Human Mage

Preorders have gone up at japanese shops for Goodsmile Company’s Lineage II Human Mage. She’s a follow up to their Female Dark Elf, which was a limited number GSC shop exclusive (I think at least their second run was). Beautiful work I must say for both. I think it also helps that the source material is already very attractive work in the first place, but the sculptor for the human mage (and maybe for the dark elf too?), Nakao Yoshimasa, really did a great job with the sculpt. The Dark Elf may have been an exclusive, but this is one figure that I’m not gonna let slip through my fingers. :O

 

 

[Games] Final guest Soul Calibur IV character…for now?

Well I’m way late with this, what with the game being released in store next Tuesday 😛 But anyway, the last guest character that I’ve come across comes from popular anime artist Hisayuki Hirokazu, who’s done character designs for the Mai-Hime anime series, as well as a few Queen’s Blade characters.

 

 

 

 

[Figures] Kara no Kyoukai’s Ryougi Shiki

I just watched the second Kara no Kyoukai episode/oav thing last night, and though I have no real clue as to what’s actually going on, I sure do like the way it looks lol. Ryougi Shiki is one of the main recurring characters (so far) in the series. She’s got a little bit of crazy going on, has an artificial left hand, fights ghosts, and does it while wearing a kimono with a red leather jacket all the time.

These are the four pretty brothers who work at the Maid Cafe “Cherry Girls”: Nao-kun, Yuki-kun, Tomo-kun, and Rio-kun. Usually they are hard at work as maids, but in reality they are still school students. Their work as maids at the cafe is actually a secret from the school!

[Games] Shocking announcement regarding FF7 coming?

So by now I’m sure the people who follow gaming know that on Monday, SquareEnix president Yoichi Wada announced at the Microsoft conference at E3 that Final Fantasy XIII will be coming out on the Xbox360 as well (only in US and EU territories. Japan 360 users get squat lol). Well in the days following the announcement, various sites have been able to sit down with some more of SquareEnix’s employees and have themselves a little interview. An interview over at 1UP.com got confirmation of an interesting tidbit…

 

 

 

[Figures] Griffon’s Gothic Punk Hinamo…err…Asahina Mikuru

Figure maker Griffon follows up their Gothic Lolita Suzumiya Haruhi with a Gothic Punk Asahina Mikuru! Her outfit reminds me a whoooole lot like Hinamori Amu from Shugo Chara, which is an anime series so cute it’ll make your eyes bleed kittens. I guess since Hinamori is a bit goth-punk herself it comparison can’t really be avoided…
