Welcome to “Cherry Girls”!
This page will collect all the currently translated introductions, stories, chapters, columns, comics, and whatever else will come from Hobby Japan/Hobby Channel’s short story series “Cherry Girls” into one little center for easy viewing. Everything’s been translated into english and worked on by me (including the comics), who knows a little japanese, but is not so fluent in it, so please bear with any mistakes you see m(._.)m I’ve tried to retain the display format of the original text, so some of it may look a little weird as well.
Other than that, have fun with this and hope you like it! If not, then move along there’s nothing for you to see here lol.
The short comic & mini-column episodes have been released alternately between chapters, so so far during the run for Story 1 of Cherry girls, release has been like:
Neither the comic nor columns have any impact on the story, so they can be read separately, but they do make references to what happened in the previous chapter, so if you do choose to read them separately, keep the order of release in mind so you know what they’re talking about.

I imagine you’ve gone through the fanbook by now, so I was wondering…
Would you mind sharing what the story’s about there? Is it as you assumed, a tale of their own Comiket visit, or something else entirely?
Ya actually I haven’t read it closely yet I only skimmed through to see the pictures lol. I’ve only read through the first half of the first chapter so far. I was originally gonna try to somehow get the pages onto the pc and translate them, but that might be a bit over my head…
About the contents of the book though, about a third of the book is used to print the prologue, story 1 chapters 1 and 2, and column/comics 1-1 and 1-2 that were originally on Hobby Channel’s site (and the stuff I translated here. It’s exactly the same stuff). In between are a couple sketches for character designs of all four brothers. And then there is a special 2 chapter story that does see the brothers at the comiket, along with two columns. At the very end is a two page special comic.
Well, I hope that you will find time to at least scan the parts not shown on the web. I am sure we are someone who would be happy for a look!
By the way, when I was searching on http://images.google.com on the originaltitel for Cherry Girls, オトコのコはメイド服がお好き, I came across a few pages which I guess could have some interest. Perhaps suneo can translate the relevant parts?

not much to translate there really, pretty much just saying who the person in the pictures are cosplaying as. The akibablog link is just covering the CherryGirls announcement that was made in early april.
and for the thai version, somebody did ask me before if they could translate it into their own language from my english translations, and I said sure go for it.

haha it definitely seems like Tomo is the most popular. You’re right it must be the chinese dress lol. Might be the glasses also haha. Glasses can be sexy too *adjusts own glasses*.
And those sketches there were because they were behind in posting the story. So far it’s happened 2 (sort of 3) times, and those illustrations are compensation for the fans lol. I’ve got the Yuki one somewhere up around my blog.

and lol at the fandub. That’s pretty good haha. More impressive that it was done by one guy. Yuki’s was the best I think. Nao I was expecting to be a little more feminine, Rio was pretty good too, and Tomo sounds quite like an adult lol. It’d be fun to see if they ever make a real drama CD out of this, and whose voices they attach to each character.

Yuki was like perfect, totally fits the character.
I thought Tomo was really good too, though a bit deep.
Nao was a bit weaker. I agree that he should sound a bit more feminine.
Rio was the weakest, too squeaky.
I’d originally imagined everyone with female voices, but this actually suits them better now that I’d heard them.
Nao could go either way though, since he’s supposed to be super feminine, but I definitely think everyone else should sound similar to that dub (Rio way less squeaky though).
Guess now this is how I’m gonna imagine it when I read it.
I hope he does more!
I agree I think Rio was a bit squeaky, and maybe a bit nasally with trying to reach that high note, but I think the spirit was there lol

It seems the survey for favorites was to decide the priority list for wallpapers. So we can expect the next wallie will have Tomo, and then finally Rio. I was hoping for a Halloween themed Cherry Girls Wall, but Yuki-nii is good too~
On another note, I’m thinking of making a Cherry Girls cosplay before I cut my hair short. Or maybe after, depending on who I want to cosplay. Nao’s costume is the prettiest, so he’s first priority ^_^ But it’ll mean dying my hair brown. I will NOT do Tomo (too much upper leg showing >//////< )

It seems that Cherry Girls really is over?
Google translates the message this week as “Regular series will be closed” (following a buncha gramtically incomprehensible junk, something about guest illustrations or something).
Babelfish says “As for usual serialization, we go to bed”. Which seems strange, but seems to imply that they’re done? But this also mentions that guest illustrations for the month of January.
Now, I hope that I’m interpreting wrong, and maybe it’s only implying that people besides Nagi Ayame and Akira Kasukabe are handling it just for January, and they’re taking a rest just for the month?
In other good news, it seems that a Drama CD’s been announced (I think?).
